Fettucine A La Indonesian Cook

celery made this so tasty

In Indonesia there is a dish called "Mie goreng" and in Malaysia it is called "Mee goreng". Both are almost from the same ingredients. Mie / Mee goreng literally means fried noodles (imagine Nasi Goreng or Fried Rice). Here I am going to cook Mie / Mee goreng but I am replacing Mie/Mee/Noodle with Fettucine ... so it is like a different cultures marriage ... he he he

Ingredients
200 Grams Fettucine, cook according to the package instruction, set aside
2 Garlic cloves, finely chopped
Salt to taste
1/2 Teaspoon white powder pepper
1 Tablespoon Finely chopped celery
1 Tablespoon butter / margarine / cooking oil to saute.
1 Sausage, cut into whatever size you want
1/2 Teaspoon sugar (just to taste)
10 Meatballs, cut into whatever size you want
1 Onion, finely sliced.
1 Tablespoon water

Directions
1. Melt butter in a big wok, saute garlic and white pepper until aromatic.
2. Add water, salt and sugar, stir-fry.
3. Add sausage and meatball, stir fry.
4. Add fettucine, stir-fry untill ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
5. Add onion and celery, stir fry until all mixed well.

served hot ..
Note : Servings for two.

Add shrimp and green peas if you like.

Caramel, Milk, And Egg Puding

Hmmm love the taste of the caramel

This puding texture is so soft like silk as consists of milk, sugar and eggs only. I love to eat cold caramel puding in a day time in summer (anyway in my country it is always summer he he he). It is very easy, moist and simple to make.

Ingredients For Caramel Sauce
100 Grams  sugar
100 Ml water
A bit salt just to taste
1 Teaspoon of rhum (optional, due to your taste).

Direction
1. Spread sugar evenly in a nonstick skillet. Cook over low medium heat until sugar melted and caramelized. Stir slowly until the caramel is smooth (in the meantime bring the water into boiled).
2. Pour the boiling water gradually into the caramel, keep on stiring slowly. After all mixed well, strain the caramel into a big ceramic bowl, set aside.

Ingredients For Puding
100 Grams sugar
6 Eggs
400 Ml milk
A bit salt (just to taste)

Directions
1. Whisk eggs, sugar and salt to blend.
2. Gradually pour milk into eggs mixture and whisk until mixed well.

Steaming
1. Pour the puding batter into the caramel sauce bowl.
2. Steam for 30 minutes (Puding and the caramel will be separated automatically while you do steaming).

3. Serve hot or cold .. hmmm.

Actually you also can do baking besides steaming, try both methods and see which one you like the most.

Happy cooking !
